About Us

I founded Gauthier Software in 2014 as a way to secure extra income while studying, and putting myself through engineering school. Initially just a side hustle, Gauthier Software was the branding I used for freelance work.

Gauthier Software was officially incorporated in 2020. I managed to scrape together some savings to start the company, eventually hiring up to 3 other developers. Then the pandemic hit, and some tough decisions had to be made. These days, its mostly just me - still using this branding as my side hustle, just like when I started.

Maxime 'biximilien' Gauthier, is myself, the founder of Gauthier Software. I am a software engineer with 15 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web-based applications. Most people know me as "Bix", a nickname I had since I was in high school.

I'm proficient in PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript and Go programming languages. My software development expertise spans full-stack development, microservices architecture, monolithic applications, API design, and user experience.

I have strong background in web development, mostly leaning on back-end developer roles, and worked in telecommunications, ad-tech and health-tech.
